Paul Tolley BSc FRICS
Paul has been a member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 1985. He has been involved in Commercial Property throughout the UK for more than 20 years. He has spent the majority of this time in Commercial Property Development, working on a huge variety of projects including offices, distribution, industrial areas, out-of-town retailers and town centre retailers. His projects have varied greatly in magnitude and methods, from large business parks to much smaller city centre sites.
In 1997, Paul was appointed Managing Director of SCPD Ltd. At this time, the company was part of a multi-national company with a portfolio of over 7000 properties, including well-known successful businesses such as Holiday Inn, Gala Bingo, Coral Betting and Bass Taverns. Paul’s earlier experience was with IDC (subsequently taken over by AMEC), an extremely successful multi disciplined consultancy and project management company, and served as a Director of Trent and Dove Housing, which manages more than 5000 properties. His experiences with these high-profile companies have given him a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the different functions of Operations and Property. Paul’s vast range of experiences in Commercial Property over the years have made his experience and understanding invaluable to DPM.
