What is Development Management?
Development Management is a multi-disciplinary skill which enables developers to undertake property development from the initial site identification through to the completion and occupation of the new premises. Many consultancies can offer parts of the service at difference stages, but few are able to offer the complete service. DPM have the skill and ability to deliver from inception to completion by bringing in and managing the range of tasks required for a particular project on behalf of the client and as illustrated by the diagram. It is vital to know when a specific task or input from an expert is required to ensure the smooth running of any development project.
DPM is a niche consultancy business that uses its specialist development skills to unlock latent value in operational property assets. We have a proven track record of working with a diverse range of corporate clients, and work alongside these clients to identify profit from operational and surplus property assets.
When working on a new project our first step is to undertake a development audit which, via research, identifies the key issues and constraints. Having established the issues we then seek to understand the clients' needs and aspirations so a suitable strategy can be developed to unlock any latent value through the development process. Having agreed the strategy with the client, we use our knowledge and experience of the development process to assemble and manage the specialist teams to address the specific issues and challenges at hand. We ensure that our methods and solutions are tailored to meet the needs of both the project and the individual client.
